Yogurt Cucumber Face Mask

Cucumber face mask with yogurt = Bye Bye Clogged Pores

The homemade face mask recipe that I have for you today is especially for those that have oily skin.

In order to combat the horrors of oily skin, I will be combining the mighty cucumber with yogurt and milk powder.  The cucumber acts as a natural cleansing and astringent agent whereas the yogurt gives your face mask the added power of soothing and exfoliating the skin.

The end result is a simple but effective cucumber face mask that will help you fight off excess oil, clogged pores and blemishes.

  • One Cucumber
  • One teaspoon non fat milk powder
  • 1/2 cup of Plain , Unflavored Yogurt with Active Cultures

First thing you need to do before anything else is to put the cucumber in the fridge for a couple of hours. This will allow the cucumber to cool down.

Next up you need to peel the cucumber and chop / cut it into small cubes. If you want the cucumber face mask to be nice and smooth then simply remove the seeds.

This does add a bit of time to preparing the face mask but gives the end product a smoother consistency.

After you are done with the peeling and cutting, place the cucumber , yogurt and milk powder in a blender. One tip is to avoid over blending the mixture. You want it to be smooth but not runny so that it doens’t slip off your face.

Spread the cucumber face mask on your face and neck keeping the eye area clear. Keep the diy face mask on for about 10 – 15 minutes. This is not a face mask that allows you to move about so just sit down, relax and enjoy the cold cucumber on your face.

Once the time has passed, wash off the homemade face mask with a warm wash cloth and warm water and end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
