Chamomile Tea DIY Face Mask

A chamomile diy face mask you say in horror! Before you get all judgemental note that chamomile tea has been used as a traditional medicine for many centuries. In today’s world it has gained such importance that experts urge you to use it as a face toner or as herbal ice cubes.

The job that they are mostly known to perform is the soothing of blemishes and swelling. The most widely used species of chamomile are the German (Marticaria recutita) and Roman (Chanmaemelum nobile) chamomile.

Despite belonging to different plant families, they do share the same medicinal properties.

Given the medicinal properties of chamomile tea, there are a number of diy face masks that can be made. Let’s start off with a homemade face mask that can be used to treat Acne.

Chamomile & Honey  Face Mask to Treat Acne



Boil water in a pot and add dry chamomile. Leave the tea leaves in for 20 minutes. Once the tea leaves have infused fully, add one tablespoon of honey, one teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and one egg white.

Apply the mask on a clean face and leave it on for 15 – 20 minutes.

Once that time period has passed, wash off the paste with cool water.

For the very best results, apply the paste at least once a week.

Chamomile & Peppermint Face Mask


  • One tablespoon Chamomile flowers
  • One tablespoon Peppermint
  • One egg yolk
  • Knife


This is fairly simple. All that is required is for the herbs to be chopped up and mixed with the egg yolk. Once that is done, apply the paste to the face for at least 15 minutes washing it off with cool water when done.

This diy face mask should give the user a refreshing feeling if applied for the right amount of time.

Apply the resulting mask on clean face and leave it on for 15 minutes.

Chamomile & Aloe Vera Juice Face Mask 


  • One tablespoon Dry Chamomile
  • Two teaspoons Clay
  • One teaspoon Aloe Vera Juice
  • One Teaspoon Organic Honey
  • Bowl


Yes, you had read that right, we are going to use clay for the creation of this homemade mask.

First step involves stirring clay with the chamomile infusion. Keep this going until you get a smooth paste.

Add the teaspoon of honey along with the aloe vera juice and mix again. Once ready, apply the paste over the clean face for at least 15 minutes.

Once the time has passed, wash off the homemade face mask with cool water.
